What will I learn from the English Exercise alphabetical order?

This English exercise you will practise putting the things in alphabetical order. The first part of the lesson gives a brief explanation on how to put things in alphabetical order.

How to put words in alphabetical order

To put words in alphabetical order you need to put in the order of the alphabet.

A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

Put the following into alphabetical order:

CAT, BAT, ANT

The answer is ANT, BAT, CAT

**  HINT if all the words start with the same letter the next letter is used **

BET, BAT, BOAT

The answer is BAT, BET, BOAT.

All the words begin with B, so the next letter is used. If the second letter is the same you use the third the letter.
