What will I be learning during the English lesson learning numbers 1 and 100?

During this English lesson you will be learning English numbers 1 to 100 and how to count to 1 to 100. The first video is   "Learn to count 0 to 10 with fruit" it is a fun way for kids and adults to learn to count and to identify each number. Video 2 is shows the numbers 1 to 100 for you to learn and how each numbers are spelt. The last part of the lesson shows you how to write numbers in everyday sentences.

How to separate between hundreds and tens in English

Hundreds and tens are  separated using the word  'and'

Hint American English 'and' is not used.

120 - one hundred and twenty
1,750 - one thousand, two hundred and seventy
3,003 - two thousand and three

Hundreds

Always use 100  with 'a' or 'one'.

100= a hundred / one hundred

'a' can only stand at the beginning of a number.

200 - a hundred / two hundred
1,100 - one thousand, one hundred Wrong 1,100 - one thousand, a hundred 

Thousands and Millions

Always use 1,000 and 1,000,000 using 'a' or 'one'.

1,000 - a thousand

5,000 - five thousand
901,300 - nine hundred and three thousand

To separate tens hundreds and thousands use commas as a separator.

45,123,205

Are numbers singular or Plural?

Numbers are usually written in singular.

Three hundred English pound
several thousand fans were are the football game
